Refugee Learner Education — Collateral Repair Project, Amman

Developed and delivered outcome-based courses for refugee learners from Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Iraq at Collateral Repair Project in Amman, Jordan. Classes were small, mixed-language, and mixed-literacy, the kind of setting where a standard curriculum falls apart immediately. Instruction had to be rebuilt, session by session, based on who was actually in the room.

The work was direct. Most students were women heading households on their own, navigating displacement in an urban context with limited institutional support. That proximity to the population I research isn't incidental to my consulting work. It's where a lot of it comes from.
